Sean’s experience in strategic and financial planning, service line development, and hospital-physician alignment makes him a trusted adviser to providers navigating the complexities of a value-based care delivery.
Since joining ECG in 2007, Sean has focused on helping organizations achieve successful hospital-physician acquisitions, implementing strategic planning initiatives, and ensuring appropriate physician compensation. He co-led a team of more than 40 consultants through a 24 week engagement to develop a $500 million organization to assume operational responsibility for an AMC in the Southeast. Additional-ly, Sean assisted a health system composed of a 350 member physician group and a 250,000 member health plan with its acquisition and integration of a 325 bed hospital. Moreover, he facilitated another health system’s acquisition of a 100 member multispecialty physician group. Over the course of his tenure at ECG, Sean has directed, facilitated, or managed transactions worth more than $2 billion in total consideration. His clients appreciate his ability to communicate with and build consensus among hospital leadership and physician stakeholders.
As the leader of ECG’s ASC strategy and planning service, Sean has worked with numerous hospitals and physician groups in ambulatory surgery and services planning. He has led engagements to provide clients with an understanding of how surgery migration will affect hospital performance, along with the development and implementation of acquisition and alignment strategies to successfully participate in growing the ambulatory surgery market.
